Pajot Air Hammers FAQ
What are Pajot air hammers and how do they work?
Pajot air hammers are pneumatic impact hammers powered by compressed air. They use a piston driven by air pressure to deliver repeated blows to the pile, allowing it to be driven into the ground efficiently.
What types of piles can Pajot air hammers install?
Pajot air hammers can drive a wide range of pile types, including sheet piles, tubular piles, H-beams, timber piles and concrete piles, making them suitable for both temporary and permanent works.
When should an air hammer be used instead of a vibro hammer?
Air hammers are often used when piles cannot be driven to full depth using a vibro hammer, particularly in harder ground conditions or for final driving where greater impact energy is required.
What are the advantages of Pajot air hammers?
Pajot air hammers are known for their simplicity, reliability and low operating costs. They offer high blow rates, strong impact energy and easy maintenance, making them a cost-effective piling solution.
What power range is available for Pajot air hammers?
Pajot air hammers are available in a wide range of sizes, from lightweight handheld post drivers through to large hammers of over 5 tonnes capable of driving heavy piles and large diameter tubes.
Do you provide support and servicing for Pajot air hammers?
Yes, we provide full support, including servicing, maintenance, parts supply and technical assistance through our in-house workshop and experienced engineering team.
